Day 24: I think I am starting to forget how to draw ponies. It has been almost a month since I’ve had a customer.
Day 32: Tried to draw caricature of a squirrel in the park. The squirrel got freaked out when I told it to hold still and ran away. I’ve got to pull myself together. Things will be fine. Everyone loves caricatures! This is just a weird slump.
Day 37: Why didn’t that little boy want a drawing of himself in a race car?! What is going on?! I had to start cutting back on the budget.
Day 46: Money nearly gone. Ate my gummy eraser for breakfast this morning. It tasted awful, but not as bad as the pencil shavings. Started drawing caricatures of myself. Each face seems sadder than the last one. People in the park who’ve glanced at the drawings seem uneasy.
Day 49: If that squirrel doesn’t sit still — so help me!
Day 53: Saw little girl making a caricature of herself on an iPhone! I had no idea this sort of technology existed. Surely this can’t be a new trend…
Day 59: Arrested for killing and eating squirrel in the park. Fellow inmates really into having their caricatures drawn. Subject matter is slightly disturbing, but at least I am popular again. All is well.
