A Cheap Bluetooth Keyboard for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch

Well, well, it looks like TUAW found a way to get the smooth jazz of bluetooth to play it’s sweet, sweet notes at a discount rate. Amazon Basics, which is Amazon.com’s eclectic brand of generic paraphernalia, has a cheap bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard goes for around $40—the exact price seems to fluctuate, likely depending on how much the Chinese factories these things are inevitably produced in have to pay the children who are building them.

If you don’t really care about the moral minefield that comes along with cheap products made in poor Asian countries, then this is apparently a very adequate keyboard. TUAW goes so far as to offer this glowing praise, “You don’t need a keyboard for an iPad, but if you decide that you want one, the AmazonBasics Bluetooh Keyboard is light, thin and easy to slip into a bag” [sic]. Apparently the keyboard is a tiny bit small than a Macbook keyboard, so if you find those to be a bit small for your taste, you’ll really hate this one.

side note: Curious that Amazon’s US site doesn’t have this information. Just a guess, but the recent rise of buy American made products movements might have something to do with it.
